Betsy Frost is the Director of Rockford First Kids, which includes KidsLife (1st – 5th grades) and AkolooLand (birth – Kindergarten).

Betsy was born on August 10, 1971, in Tucson, Arizona. As a child, Betsy dreamed of becoming a missionary, but her dream was reshaped during her high school years, when she realized that her biggest mission field was the youth and children around her.

By enrolling in the Phoenix Master’s Commission in 1989, Betsy received intensive ministry training and eventually became a full-time staff member. After continuing her education at Vanguard University, she made the journey to Rockford to assist Pastor Jeremy DeWeerdt in starting the Rockford Master’s Commission in 1993.

Betsy has devoted her life to ministering to students. After ministering in Rockford, she served as the Associate Youth Pastor at the Detroit World Outreach in Detroit, Michigan. Then, along with her husband, Jeff, she served as Junior High Youth Director at both Charlotte Assembly of God and Orchard Grove Community Church.

Betsy has been happily married for 10 years. They currently have no children, but are the proud parents of a “very needy chocolate Lab.”

Betsy has huge dreams for KidsLife at Rockford First! Her outlook is one that says “there is nothing but possibility when you are working with kids.” Her creativity and fresh ideas promise to take KidsLife to the next level and beyond.
